The regret of love.

Jolyn is a well-known gangster in her school. She picks up fights whenever she sees a person staring at her. She has her own gangster group, whom she treats as sisters. Whenever one gets bullied or teased, they would definitely stand up for her. By doing this means that they would beat up the person who ill-treated their members. As a result, no one in school dares to offend them.

One day, during recess, Jolyn went to the canteen to have her lunch alone. All her friends have skipped school. Jolyn, who doesn't want to let her parents to get upset over the issue of skipping school, attends school everyday unless her parents gave her the permission not to attend school. She bought her food, and went to a bench and eat. After she finished eating her meal, she turned around and get off the bench. During this time, a boy walked pass and accidentely banged onto her. Jolyn went mad at first, but after she look into the boy's eyes, she turned magically soft and gentle. The boy apologised to her and paused due to Jolyn's weird reaction. The boy then tapped her shoulder and asked her if she is all right, and Jolyn came into reality. She quickly replied softly and with a gentle, shy voice. The boy smiled at her and walked away. Jolyn then take up her bowl, and place her utensils onto the box provided. On her way back to her class, she was still thinking about the boy, who banged onto her. After this incident, Jolyn always wished to see him. She even asked around for his name. But due to her insufficient description of the boy, many didn't know who she meant. Till one day ...

Jolyn was standing at the busstop waiting for the bus to come. When the bus came, she boarded it. The bus is full of people. Jolyn successfully get a space to stand and a handle to hold onto. As the bus goes, everyone were unbalanced. The person beside Jolyn almost fell but he grabbed on Jolyn's shoulder. When Jolyn felt the heavy weight on her shoulder, she turned and stare at the person. Just as the person look up, Jolyn's eyes turned big and bright. " Umm, thanks. " The boy said, with a smile on his face. Jolyn smiled back happily. She then started to ask him his name. " Rayson, you ? " The boy answered. Jolyn said : " I am Jolyn, nice to meet you ! " Rayson smiled, and said : " Nice to meet you too. " They paused awhile, and Rayson asked : " What class are you from ? " Jolyn hesitated. She doesn't want to let him know her class, so, she lied. She asked for his class too, and was shocked to know that he is actually from a smart class, and was a nerd in school. Jolyn's smile started to fade. Just then, Rayson reached his stop. They bid goodbye and Rayson got down the bus. Jolyn started to worry, and think that it would be real awful if a gangster and a nerd started a relationship.

After their last meet at the bus, Jolyn and Rayson haven't meet for a long time. 2 months past. But Jolyn still remember Rayson. She always hoped to see him at the busstop. But she didn't. One day, she stayed back for her CCA, she met Rayson at the study corner. Jolyn broke down into tears and ran towards him. She cried and hugged him. Rayson was shocked. He asked her what happened. Jolyn wiped off her tears, and asked him, " do you still remember me ? " Rayson answered : " Of course I do ! " " What exactly happened ? Why are you in tears ? " Jolyn smiled upon hearing Rayson said he remembered her. Jolyn then said : " Ohh.. Umm.. Umm.. " "Personal Matters ? " Rayson asked. Jolyn nodded her head. Rayson smiled and encouraged her. Jolyn then sit with him, watching him doing his homework. Jolyn then asked him : " What do you think about .... a gangster ... and ... a nerd relationship ? " Rayson look up into Jolyn's eyes. His face turned stern and serious. " Hmmm.. I never thought of it before... " Jolyn felt a little disappointed. But Rayson continued. " Actually, love is about two different heart.. hmmm.. If there is really a gangster and nerd relationship, I still think it is okay. Just that the two person love each other, thats the most important thing afterall. " Jolyn smiled happily. Just as Rayson went back to do his homework, Jolyn confessed to him. Rayson paused. And look up at her eyes. Slowly, he said : " Jolyn, I.. You.. You are a nice girl.. But.. I think that, we shouldn't be having a relationship. We are still in our teens. I think its early. And.. Also.. I.. I don't.. don't.. ugh.. I .. don't have any feelings towards you. " They both paused for a short while. Jolyn's eyes welled with tears. Then ran off sadly.

After being rejected, Jolyn started to be even more defiant. She started to skip school despite her parents objection. She picks fight almost everyday. She steals, make a nuisance, and even tried to smoke. After Rayson knew about her situation right now, he went on finding her, and trying to stop her from doing all those unkind acts.

A few months later, Rayson found Jolyn and her gang in the carpark. Rayson saw another group of people too. Suddenly, everyone started to fight. Rayson was shocked. He ran up and tries to find Jolyn. He finally found Jolyn lying on the floor, trying to get up. He then grabbed her hand and pulled her, asking her to run. Jolyn refused. She pushed Rayson away and continue fighting. Suddenly, a girl holding on to a broken empty beer bottle charge towards Jolyn, who is facing back from her. Rayson saw the girl, and he used all his energy to run towards Jolyn, trying to save her. Just as he ran up and hugged Jolyn from her back, the whole scene turned quiet. Jolyn turned her head and saw Rayson, with his eyes slowly closing. The girl that stabbed Rayson pulled out the beer bottle and ran off quickly. The rest of the people ran too. Rayson fall to the ground and his blood was flowing like a river. Jolyn went mad and dialled the ambulance. Rayson couldn't speak. Slowly, his eyes closed.

" I'm sorry , we tried our best. " This sentence came out from the doctor's mouth, which signifies a bad news. Jolyn went blank and Rayson's parents cried their hearts out. Jolyn stayed away from Rayson's parents as they doesn't want to see her. Jolyn went home, as she couldn't do anything. On her way home, she was crying, and recapping her memories with Rayson. She reached home and her mother handed her a book. She said that it is a gift from Rayson. Jolyn took the book and went silently back to her room. She opened the book and read. Tears dropped. She never knew that Rayson actually loved her at his first sight. Rayson knew that Jolyn is a gangster, but he doesn't mind it. He told his parents happily that he fell in love with a girl. But after he said that the girl is a gangster, his parents objected it. Rayson, who cannot disobey his parents words, rejected the love from Jolyn during her confession. After Jolyn finished reading it, Jolyn went mad and cry for the whole night.

She stopped being a gangster. She started to change herself. She really regretted to be a gangster. She hate herself for that. Now, she is a 'new' Jolyn. Even though she had a past, which is full of regretness, she would try to overcome it. But as she overcomes it, she would never ever forget the person, Rayson.
